The ATMA and CBK has developed a guide titled ‘The Bookkeepers’ Handbook’ published by Thomson Reuters which explains the important aspects of the Tax Agents Services legislation in a straightforward, practical manner in a topic-by-topic basis.

This new Tax Agents regime started in March 2010, bringing statutory registration and regulation of BAS agents into the system for the first time.

The Bookkeepers’ Handbook provides an indispensable entry point for all BAS Agents, who need to understand and operate under the rules contained in the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.
