SMSF Audit Workshop

ATMA Members & Fellows who hold an ATMA Public Practice Certificate are approved persons to undertake audits of Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). There are very specific ATO requirements for the carrying out of these audits and the subsequent issue of the audit report. The ATO intends to focus more on SIS compliance and contribution compliance in the 2012 year. The ATMA SMSF Audit Workshops are a full day course.

The course contains detailed guidance on audit procedures and techniques, including the ATMA Audit Checklist, and practical examples will be studied. All relevant ATO pronouncements, Auditing Standards, professional requirements and auditor independence will be covered.

PLEASE NOTE: It is now a requirement of the ATO and all Professional Bodies that members conducting SMSF Audits hold a Public Practice Certificate, comply with all the conditions of the Professional Body issuing the PPC, hold PI insurance, and that they complete an approved SMSF Audit Workshop prior to undertaking any SMSF Audits.
