What does a Complying SMSF Audit file look like? Workshop
This workshop is designed to give participants the skills necessary to compile a complying audit file for the financial statements of an SMSF ready to be audited and ultimately to prepare and lodge the Annual (Tax) Return. Participants of the course are led through the preparation of the necessary steps in putting together a Complying SMSF Audit File. It is expected that on completion of this course you will be able to structure a working papers file that will satisfy the ATO from a tax perspective, the ATO from an audit perspective and also satisfy the requirements of RTAAs for a QA review.
This course is very much ‘hands on’ through the use of templates behind which the audit file is constructed. The course focuses on the preparation of SMSF Audit Files, and Annual (Tax) Returns. It is designed to give you a template to construct a ‘Permanent file’ that will provide a consistent method of presenting suitable working papers.
Completion of this workshop does not qualify you to be an Approved SMSF Auditor. In order to be an Approved SMSF Auditor, you must be a member of an RTAA, complete an approved SMSF Audit workshop, hold a current Public Practice Certificate, comply with all the conditions of the Professional Body issuing the PPC and hold PI insurance.
