Public Practice Certificate (PPC) and PPC Workshop
If you provide public accounting services in Australia and earn more than $10,000 gross in fees each year, you must hold a Public Practice Certificate.
ATMA members at the member level will be eligible for a public practice certificate (PPC) subject to the completion of an ATMA PPC workshop. Associates and International members are not eligible to hold an ATMA PPC certificate. Members entering public practice are required to complete a Public Practice Program before a Public Practice Certificate will be issued.
Members in public practice in Australia are required to hold a Public Practice Certificate. An accountant, a tax agent, a BAS agent or tax practitioner in public practice who work in a public accounting practice, a tax practice , a BAS practice or as a tax practitioner is required to hold a PPC certificate. Employees are excluded from this requirement. Additional information can be found in our By-Laws

2. You are up to date with ATMA Procedures etc.
3. Provides you with valuable CPD Hours. (14 hours for a PPC Workshop)
Please also note that if you audit SMSFs then you must have completed an ATMA PPC workshop and an ATMA SMSF audit workshop.
The PPC workshop has been developed to help members establish themselves in public practice. It provides members with all the tools and technical information they require to build a successful and compliant business. The PPC workshop also focuses on practical skills such as strategic planning, marketing, risk management and practice development.
